In this informational webinar we discuss the American Educational Research Association’s (AERA) 2021-2022 Minority Dissertation Fellowship in Education Research for graduate students. We discuss the program’s goals, the application process, and details about the competition. This fellowship is targeted for members of racial and ethnic groups historically underrepresented in higher education (e.g., African Americans, Alaskan Natives, American Indians, Asian Americans, Hispanics or Latinos, and Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islanders). This program provides mentoring and funding support to develop research skills and conduct studies in education related fields and topics. The deadline for submitting an application is December 1, 2021. This webinar will be recorded and will become available through AERA’s Virtual Research Learning Center (AERA-VRLC).
